Jason Norton started out in construction as a laborer and worked his way up to lead carpenter for a framing company owned by a relative. He continued working in framing throughout his college career at Appalachian State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science with a construction concentration. Since then, Norton has been a licensed general contractor in western NC for 15 years. In 2016 he joined Buchanan Construction, where he is Vice President of Residential Construction. Norton leads with a focus on integrity, professionalism and craftsmanship.

Michael Knotts started his career in home building after graduating from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He joined a national builder and oversaw construction of town-homes and detached, single-family homes. More than 12 years later, Knotts now is involved in all aspects of home construction, from land development to design and construction management.
