When COVID-19 struck North Carolina, NCHBA’s staff worked day and night with state and local officials to make sure our members were deemed “essential” and were able to continue to work. As part of the essential workforce in North Carolina, Governor Roy Cooper designated various levels to determine when certain workers can receive their COVID-19 vaccine. Currently, workers in “residential facilities, housing and real estate” are designated as Group 4 essential workers. At the time of publication, all adults over the age of 16 in North Carolina were eligible to receive a vaccine. NCHBA encourages you to follow the Governor’s order regarding the distribution of the vaccine. For the most up to date information, visit www.nc.gov/covid19.
