Kelby Thornton Takes Home Second National Masonry Championship

NCHBA congratulates Kelby Thornton, a recent graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, who won his second national masonry championship during the 53rd annual National Leadership and Skills Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky in June.

Thornton qualified for nationals after winning first place at the state level. In Louisville, Thornton and his competitors were given six hours to create a wall. He completed his project in three-and-a-half hours and received a score of 902 out of 1,000.
